A little cold play and a good old fashioned game night!
We finally had enough snow to play in on the 13th of January after it snowed most of the 12th. This winter has been unusually warm and rainy with very little snow here. After last winter we are all a bit disappointed in the lack of snow and the crazy amount of rain and high temperatures we have been having! Yes call us crazy but living in the burbs of the Windy City we expect our winters to come with snow and lots of it!!
Katie is loving the snow! |
Abigail making a snow angel and loving it! |
Time to hit the sled hill! |
Here we are all gathered around our "new" dining room table playing a round of Yamslam. We can often be found gathered around our table playing one game or another. Our collection of games has grown quite a bit since we moved north. Killer Bunnies, Nobody but us Chickens, Hexagon, Dominion and Yamslam are just a few of our newer games. We also like to get together with friends to have a game night whenever we can manage it.
As for me, I have been a bit crafty lately, sanding, painting and using my cricut expression to cut out lots of vinyl for Valentine's decorations and such but I will save those pictures for the next post! I must admit I am in love with my new power sander and have been working on several projects with it! I promise to post photos soon!
Hope you enjoyed the pictures!

2011~Christmas, and let's call it a wrap for 2011!
Katie was the only one this year that was not "too old" to sit on Santa's lap, Madison and Abigail declined!
The primary children singing at our ward Christmas party.
And here we are Christmas morning unwrapping all our stuff before heading off to church to remember why we celebrate Christmas.
That's all folks! Hope you enjoyed the pictures! I promise I will do my best to do better for 2012!

Fall 2011~Lots of Pictures
Madison and Abigail first day of school 2011, Abigail 4th grade and Madison 6th grade.
Katie's first day of school 2011 kindergarten. She started a week after her sisters.
Our first trip to Goebbert's Farm, we were surprised at how warm it was, this was an October day!
They had pumpkins all over the place and I could not resist taking pictures of the girls in the pumpkin patch!
Heading into the corn maze (via the exit, but oh well)!
They had this awesome giant pumpkin staged for taking pictures, wish I had known ahead of time I would have dressed the kids in better clothes for pictures! Oh, well maybe next year! ;-)
Gutting our very large pumpkin that we got at Goebbert's!
Thanksgiving Day 2011 in front of our "Thankful" tree.
Jeremy and the girls with his birthday cake, don't you just love our matchstick, uh I mean "candle"!
We always seem to forget to purchase birthday candles!
Well that is a very fast look at fall 2011, hope you enjoyed the pictures, I promise to try and to better in 2012 at keep up with this blog!
